Reiki is a system of natural healing that promotes relaxation and brings about a sense of peace and well-being. (Learn more...) Mary's training classes are held on weekends, 4 hours each day, and include hands-on practice.

Reiki Level 1 Training | Reiki Level 2 Training | Preparation for Reiki Training

Mary and other Reiki practitioners maintain a high standard of professional ethics. Read the International Association of Reiki Professionals Code of Ethics.

Reiki – Level 1 Training

The Reiki 1 training will teach you how to use the universal life energy and channel it through your body in order to heal yourself and others.

Reiki can be used to treat any level of being: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

All that is needed to learn Reiki is the desire to do healing. No other prerequisites required.

This training includes hands-on practice. Some of the topics that will be covered are: smudging, chakras, energy medicine, Reiki attunement and the Reiki hand positions.

Reiki – Level 2 Training

The Reiki 2 training will teach you how to use Reiki symbols for protection, mind/heart alignment, and do distance healing.

Reiki 2 covers more in-depth information on the chakras.

Prerequisites: Completed Reiki 1 training and done 20 or more Reiki sessions.

Preparation for Reiki Training

At least 24 Hours Prior to Training and During Training:
- Limit intake of meat (especially red meat), refrain if possible
- Do not take non-prescription drugs, drink alcohol, or eat chocolate
- Limit caffeine and nicotine intake
- Reduce or eliminate TV, radio, electronics, and reading the newspaper
- Spend some time in silence and meditation
- Go for quiet walks and spend time with nature

What to Bring:
- Wear comfortable clothing and limit your jewelry
- Wear or bring a pair of socks (feet tend to get cold)
- Bring a water bottle – will need to drink plenty of water after attunement and after a Reiki session
- Bring snacks – energy work makes people hungry
- May want to bring a notebook and pen

Reiki II Only:
Bring a teddy bear or other stuffed animal/toy that has limbs similar to a person (arms, legs, head, and torso).

Note: Plan on spending quiet, relaxing evenings after the trainings. Your body will need to incorporate the Reiki attunement.
